Late 70’s

A need

and some ideas

Sandremassa, a company dedicated to fine mortar for civil construction, was facing the enormous difficulty of finding solutions for packaging its products. From this need is born an idea that began modestly in a 60m2 space in Santo André – ABC Paulista.

1985

Circulating

Economy

The reprocessing of plastic film scraps begins, always aiming for low cost and partnership; in this process, the raw material was reused up to 3 times.

1980

From a idea

to manufacturing

With the acquisition of two machines for manufacturing valved plastic packaging, the company started an independent production that, in a short time, caught the attention of other companies. Thus, Poliembalagens was born.

2008

Patent – Registration of
an INNOVATION

The reprocessing of raw materials has increased from 3 to up to 9 times, and this improved and enhanced technology has been named Re9. Recognized by the INPI (Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property) and federal and commercial entities in the country, the technology can achieve up to 400% savings in raw material costs when compared to virgin products.

1990

Avoiding

waste

At the time when Poliembalagens began manufacturing highly leak-proof valve bags for low-granulometry products, the mission was to reduce losses during the filling and transportation process.

2000

New millennium, new challenges

With the rapid onboarding of new partners and the success of the solutions developed by Poliembalagens, the need for expansion arose. And so, the new millennium brought the move to new facilities in Mauá, São Paulo, the company’s current headquarters.

2009

Media
recognition

In its May/June 2009 edition, Revista Borracha Atual gives special prominence to Re9 technology, highlighting the environmental, economic, and social benefits of reprocessing.

2012

Sustainability is not a trend, it’s an attitude!

The renowned industrial chemical sector magazine “REVISTA PLÁSTICO INDUSTRIAL” features a report on POLIEMBALAGENS, highlighting the Re9 Project for its concern and collaboration with the environment and future generations.

2010

Flynig is
an aptitude

The period in which Poliembalagens was recognized in the national industry as the largest producer of bags with cords drew attention for the design and advantages of the bags for use in the aviation, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors.

2020

Adaptation may be optional,
but trust is not.

Our work is dedicated to respect and reliability with the client, guaranteeing excellent service, understanding, and product development.

2015

Those who cooperate grow.

The SICREDI Cooperative Bank also pays tribute to the application of Cooperative principles in company management and in support of these ideals.

Sustainability

Concerned with the environment and future generations, Poliembalagens developed a recycling system for plastic films/bags used in industrial/commercial processes, which can be recycled and reused, in some cases within the same process.

Named RENOVE (Re9), this recycling process aims to reduce pollution emissions through the reuse process, serving as a solution created to decrease waste in landfills; in addition to being an activity with great social and economic benefits, reducing the environmental impact caused by the disposal of materials in the environment.

Concept developed in the 80s and consolidated today for its effectiveness and concern for the environment.
